2037.08 TWC - Xue-Qin Man on pace for 9.0+ WAR season
2B Xue-Qin Man
Current 2037 Stats - .371 BA, .409 OBP, .946 OPS
It's easy for "Gorilla" Man to fly under the radar... First of all, he plays next to 4 Time SS Gold Bat winner, Mark Wareham. And secondly, he's gets buried under the big hitting Frick League Second Basemen like Jared Gillstrom (SF), Emilio Morales (OMA) and even Lucas McNeil (YS) when he was still playing second base.
Mons Raider even stole Xue-Gin's spotlight in 2031 when they came up together as Rookies.
However, Xue-Qin Man's impact on the team cannot be understated. He's been a consistent .315+ hitter for almost every season to date.
For 2037, Xue-Qin has stepped up his production another level and it's been desparately needed with 3 Time Gold Bat Winner Chris Limon struggling to hit .200 for another season. At his current pace, Man could accumulate 9+ WAR this year to offset the Chris Limon's first possible negative WAR season.
Xue-Qin has been a key part of the team's early 2037 success that's seen key superstars struggle, while role player's pick up the slack. The locker room has rallied behind Xue-Qin's first season as Team Captain after the retirement of Hall Of Famer Boogie Eisenhower. While it's not realistic to expect Xue-Qin will be able to keep up his current torrid pace, Fans are hopeful that Chris Limon will also be able to find his swing as well.

Man at the plate is eerily reminiscent of Steve Dempsey.

So in 4 years he'll be washed up and overpayed. But still have nice ratings.usnspecialist wrote: ↑Fri Dec 28, 2018 4:28 pmMan at the plate is eerily reminiscent of Steve Dempsey.

Not to rub salt in the wound, but probably not, because he'll still be able to play a corner OF spot or 2B. Unless he asks for entirely too much, which is likely, so ... okay yeah.7teen wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 9:35 pmSo in 4 years he'll be washed up and overpayed. I agree with that. Man's defense will make him better and more valuable than Dempsey. But Randy said "at the dish" so as far as his offense goes he'll be washed up and overpayed. hahaTed wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 10:11 pmNot to rub salt in the wound, but probably not, because he'll still be able to play a corner OF spot or 2B.
