2037.02 TWC - Owner Robin Wells opens up his pocketbook

Post by Spiccoli » Fri Nov 30, 2018 12:00 pm

In a surprise move, Owner Robing Wells informed the Twin Cities Front Office that he was increasing the Team Budget by $12 million dollars from $108 Million to $120 Million. Basically giving Gm Scott Piccoli permission to run up to a $14 Million deficit for 2037.

For years, Twin Cities has pulled in a significant profit, up to $25 Million plus when Player Salary was in the Mid $80 Million range. In the last couple of season, that profit has shrunk. In 2036, the Team was projected to lose money for the first time, but by the end of the Season, it was still in black... mainly because the Draft Signing budget was only half utilized.

With the Robin Wells decision this week, the Owner is letting the Front Office and the Team know its time to put up... or...

Yes, I see you're doing well. So your owner is projecting more you'll make more revenue this year than last year.

Being competitive always helps.

But after that great “Ticket Price” thread, I took the leap and made a jump instead of my gradual increases.
