"Arnold brings his lunchbox to work everyday."

Travis is rarely in the headlines and is never considered for awards, but with Josh Brown struggling this year, he's been the glue holding the rotation together for entire season. Both before and after Chris Kelly came back from his year holiday recovering from surgery. He doesn't have great stuff and there's not much movement on his pitches... but for 2036, all that hasn't seemed to matter.

He just goes out there and gets it done. And since, July 31st, Arnold hasn't lost a game and the team has only lost one game during that stretch in games where Travis has started.

Most remarkably, Travis Arnold is currently in the middle a 8 Game winning streak, going back to August 17th.

"Sometimes he gets roughed up a bit, someday's he's sharp... but he always seems to bend just enough to not break and keep the team in the most games he's out there," Replied Juan Williams on the 8 game winning streak, "And really, that's all you can ask for from your starting pitcher. You have to work with what your offense is giving you... it's not feasible to throw shut outs every time out."

Arnolds' last loss came at the hands of the vaunted California Crusaders on 7/31 Loss 16-1, in which Travis collapsed in the 4th inning and gave up 2 homers and 8 runs.... for a rarely seen negative game score. But he redeemed himself back last night against the Crusaders by putting up 7 strong innings and getting his 17th win.

17 wins.... Really?

Very quietly, Travis Arnold has put up that 17 win season, currently tied for 3rd in the BBA... and by reviewing his stats, it doesn't seem possible. Travis's metrics are good, but nothing special. 3.99 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, .275 BABIP, 5.3K/9.

Sometimes, it's best not to look too hard how into how the sausage is being made and just enjoy what's going on.
