The timing couldn't be better for Twin Cities' Ace Chris Kelly to return to the River Monster rotation. The Team is showing signs of life after an abysmal 4 week stretch that saw the team only win 5 games, plummeting Twin Cities from First to Worst in the Heartland Division. At one point, Twin Cities was 10 games below .500 and now has reduced that margin to 5 games. According the Pyt Record, Twin Cities should be 6 games better at 48-41 instead of the current 42-47 record.

Chris Kelly had a couple of rough outings in AAA to shake off the rust from being out so long, but he erased all concerns after a fantastic start against the Tropics. Kelly pitched 7 1/3 innings of shutout ball, giving up only 2 hits and 1 walk.

The River Monsters are going to need a dominant Chris Kelly if there's any hope of making run at a Wild Card spot this season.

what a shame that his changeup is stuck. he could be a pretty good pitcher otherwise.

His changeup recently improved... so it's not quite stuck, just improving slow.
