Chris Limon Ate Your Daddy; 2029, V14

Chris Limon everybody! Here's another guy Twins Cities took in the EBA draft. This guy can't wait for September when in all likelihood Twin Cities will start to see their future 3B play everyday at Land 'O Lakes Park. He's currently destroying AAA with a slash of: .300/.460/.571/1.032. These numbers include 35 home runs, 102 RBI's and 48 steals. The only thing that will keep him from reaching 40/40 will be a promotion to Twin Cities. His WAR to date is 7.0...Yes, 7.0!

His ratings and potential are virtually even at: 5/6/7/9/6. These ratings seem a little underwhelming and makes one wonder if we are looking at a future Roberto Petagine or if he's the real deal. Twin Cities will give him every opportunity to prove he is the real deal the next couple of years. Limon is currently ranked as the #2 prospect in the BBA. The less astute GM's in the league feel that may be a generous rating, but it is just a rating and they are welcome to be wrong, regardless. Besides, how many of us have actually spent time thinking about what could have been had Roberto Petagine ever been given a real opportunity at the MLB level? So...just me then...it's not like he was Billy Ashley or George Lombard...I can see there's no talking to you...

Limon is coming and if your Daddy is missing, it's because he ate your Daddy...it wasn't the Dingo that ate your Daddy...

Righties with 5 CON are probably the least coveted asset in this league. That said, his eye and power should make him a productive player though he'll likely never be a star.

Truth be told, barring Limon being a guy that has bogus ratings, I don't have a lot hope for him to be much more than a decent 3B until someone better comes along. I can see him playing mostly daily for 5-6 years and then becoming a platoon guy that can play 1B/3B and has pop against lefties. Hard to be an everyday player in this game as a RH hitter without having extraordinary ratings.

.230/.350/.400 with an even ZR isn't out of the question. And with that speed, you could put him at the bottom of the lineup and if he gets on, he won't clog up the base paths for the top of the order.

He'll never be a star, but I could see .700+ OPS consistently with okay defense, and lots of teams would take that.

*sigh* Another Munchen prospect that was taken in the expansion draft.

I can see now why no one liked my idea of the new expansion franchises simply bringing along their own minor league systems. Phoenix, with Munchen's system, would be among the top rated in the BBA. Oh well.
