So, Aaron Campbell is a 20 year-old Closer/Middle Relief stud in the making. His current ratings stand at 8/7/5 with potentials of 10/7/8. He has a maxed out fastball rated at 8 and a nasty-ass slider that is currently rated a 7 with the potential to reach a 10++. Campbell's fastball sits comfortably at 98-100 mph, while his slider sometimes hits 92 with a crazy snap. He is currently pitching in AAA Duluth, which is his 3rd level this season. Since arriving at AAA, Campbell has made one thing clear, he obviously throws his sliders in the dark. Nobody can see these things and when they do, they are just swinging and hoping that they make contact.
Through 22 innings, Campbell has allowed a total of 5 hits, he's walked 12 batter and struck out 25. Opponents are batting .076 against him with a whopping .289 OPS. His ERA+ stands at 999. He has allowed an unearned run, which resulted in a blown save. But, 18 saves in 19 opportunities makes one think that Campbell could become what This Guy started to become before he was derailed by injuries. One could argue that a BABIP of .116 is a sign that he's getting a bit lucky. I'm not sure Twin Cities worries about that too much though as this guy looks like he could easily make their bullpen much stronger over the next 5-10 years once he arrives.
Campbell was selected in the EBA draft. It appears that teams were a bit scared off by the major injuries that he has already suffered at such a young age: Shoulder Impingement & Tommy John. the 2 injuries basically kept Campbell off the field for 21 months. On the other hand, he just keeps developing and people still can't get a hit off him. Will he ever allow another "earned" run? I suspect he might. Best case scenario is that he arrives in the Twin Cities mid-season 2030.

Could be a great pitcher. Shoulder troubles at 16 and then TJS at 17... Rough luck so far. Hopefully he stays healthy but that's a helluva injury history for a 20 year old
