Charm City 2053.6 - Teams Awards and a couple other Nuggets

The Charm City Jimmies clinched their first division title since 2043 with their 99 wins on the year. Yay Us!
The Charm City Jimmies today announced their team awards for the 2053 season. There were some tough calls and some slam dunk no brainers.
Team MVP:
Dave Ackerman was named the team MVP. Ackerman really blossomed under the tutelage of first year hitting coach Frank Bud. Ackerman posted a slash line of .270/.330/.507/.837 with 33 Homers and 108 RBI while playing a stellar second base at +32.4 ZR. He ranked second in the Johnson League in WAR at 7.6. The runner up for the Award was Tadataka Yoshikawa who posted a .294/.385/.580/.965 slash line with 38 Homers and 104 RBI. Yoshi posted a solid 4.7 WAR for the year.
Pitcher of the Year:
Rannal Seldon took home the Pitcher of the Year Award. Seldon posted an 11-7 record with a 3.57 ERA in 25 starts, a 127 ERA+, and 2.7 WAR for the year.
Fireman of the Year:
Wayne Dorsey was named Fireman of the Year. Dorsey was a rock in the bullpen with 9 wins with a 1.90 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 238 ERA+. Dorsey narrowly beat out closer Manuel Barrera who posted a 3.26 ERA with 38 saves.

BBA #1 prospect Héctor Silva and Kilipaki Iugini made their BBA debuts in the final game of the season. Silva went 6 and a third innings giving up 5 hits a run while walking 1 and striking out 1 for the win. Iugini was the game MVP going 3-4 with a homer, 3 RBI, a walk, and a strikeout. We've been pondering adding Iugini to the roster for the playoffs.
