All Stars:

We've just passed the All Star game. Your Jimmies were able to have 3 members of the organization make the mid summer classic. Those players were 2B: Dave Ackerman, OF: Tadataka Yoshikawa, and Pepe 'Bloviater' Espinosa. Ackerman coming off his first gold glove last year has blossomed this year with a .270 batting average and an .808 OPS thus far to go along with 17 homers. Yoshikawa has been quietly good during his second year in Charm City posting .282/.378/.558/.937 stat line with 22 homers and 68 RBI thus far. Rounding out the Charm City All stars was Espinoza whose selection surprised me. Pepe though has a 1.013 OPS in part time work with 16 homers and a 2.5 WAR while splitting time between every position on the infield.

Snubbed?:

OF: Kazunari Chikafuji in my opinion was a player who was snubbed a bit in the All Star game. Chikafuji has put a solid stat line of .288/.324/.525/.849 with 24 Homers and 78 RBI. I've been expecting him to break out the last 2 years it's nice to see him break out offensively this year.

Much to my surprise when OOTP announced the Charm City Jimmies as the #1 farm system in the league. It's gives the building we've been working on since I took over a nice pat on the back. Hopefully the young talent we've amassed will allow us to have continued success.
