Charm City was much like the Magic Man Cal Naughton Jr. Now you saw them now you don’t in first place. The Jimmies fought their way to first place in the Atlantic Division at 60-40 after some shaking up of the standings. After some baking we fell back to our current 4th place spot. “We’re a young team. I believe we’re one of the youngest teams in the league so we’re expecting some ups and downs during the season. We went on an 11-1 to take first now we’re on a 2-8 slide. It’s a learning experience and hopefully we’ll be better for it” said Manager Pedro Medina.
Grit and Sand Paper
You’re not reading a hockey article. One of the ways I’m hoping to see the team turn our misfortune around is to get back to the basics and play what I consider a gritty sand paper game. Basically I’m hoping that we’ll continue to make consistent plays defensively, take smart at bats, and execute pitches. We’re not the most talented team in the league, but if we can continue to do those things I think we’ll stop the slide.
