Warehouse Wire 2039.04: 2 1st time All-Stars

The Jimmies sent multiple players to the mid-Summer classic for the first time in a few years. Both players project to be apart of the team's future as it was the first appearance for both players in their young careers.

Alfredo Sosa was highlighted recently as the most recent JL Pitcher of the Month. He's been a horse out of the bullpen, logging major innings with much ineptitude from the rotation to help keep the team in games and more importantly in the playoff hunt.

Joaquin Hebner also made his first game. His struggles and rebound last year were also highlighted. Hebner has been top 10 in batting average most of the year, up to 5th now at .325. Same goes for his now .406 OBP. This has also lead him to being 3rd in hits with 121. While he's not your typical slugging first baseman, he's still slugging .476 with 36 doubles, which leads the JL. He's been one of the better leadoff hitters in the BBA this year and the team is hoping this continues in a quest to sneak into the playoffs.

Any other year, you may here from the organization that a player like Jorge Nevarez would have been snubbed. While have a fantastic rookie campaign, the JL has a handful of starting pitchers having career years. His injury that put him out for a few weeks didn't help either. He's currently on rehab and is expected to be back in the rotation in a week or two.

Neither of the two big free agents signed from Rockville made the All-Star game, which was a little disappointing. Mario Guerrer and Fernando Marquez are both having solid years that are contributing to the success of the team this year, but they haven't really dominated like they did in Rockville. Lack of talent around them could be part of the problem as they are having to shoulder a bigger load of being "the guys" on offense and pitching. With talent slowly making it's way to the ML team, they should have some help to take pressure off the next few seasons.

Overall, with the team being represented by multiple players once again and other players having good years, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting bright very quickly.
