Charm City 2059.1 - Surprising Retirements - Wall of Honor Inductee Announced

Retirements:

"I feel that my job in the 2058 playoffs was my finest work. I've been contemplating stepping away the last few seasons. Thank you to the Charm City Jimmies and thank you fans. I'm going to celebrate my retirement as a champion for today will be my last as a manager in the BBA" announced Pedro Medina. Medina joined the Jimmies in 2051 after spending the 2049-50 seasons away from the game. He was actually my first big personnel signing after taking over the Jimmies in 2051. Medina would post a record of 780-516 over 8 seasons with the Jimmies leading us to the Monty Brewster Championship 3 times and winning the Atlantic Division 6 times. Prior to joining the Jimmies Medina was the bench coach for Hawaii from 2036-2039, he was the manager for Long Beach in 2040-2041, he managed Portland from 2042-2046, and was the third base coach for Mexico City in 2048. Throughout his career as a manager Medina posted a record of 1,464 - 1,440 Thank You for your time.

Also announcing their retirement was bench coach Luis Pérez. Luis was one of two members of our coaching staff who survived the purge after the 2050 season. In total he was the bench coach for the Jimmies from 2048-2058. Prior to joining the Jimmies Pérez won the Round 3 as the manager of the Monclova Aqua Sox in 2045. He was the manager for Monclova from 2042-2045. He also served as the manager for the San Pedro de Macoris from 2046-2047. Thank You for your service.

Hall of Honor Inductee:
After announcing his retirement Jimmies owner Cemal Jirecek announced that Pedro Medina will be the first coach inducted to the Charm City Jimmies Hall of Honor. It was also mentioned that Medina will be the only member to be placed into Hall of Honor for 2059.
