87 pitches, a Maddux. That was all Hector Silva needed to hurl just the 11th Perfect Game in the BBA since 1996 while facing the Cobble Hill Robins.

It was the first Perfect Game in the BBA since Peter Roop pitched perfection versus the Brooklyn Robins back on July 26, 2053 as a member of Edmonton.

This was the second career no hitter thrown by Silva as he threw his first versus Rockville on May 16, 2059. The perfect game was the first in Jimmies history and just the 7th no hitter in Charm City history.

"I knew what was going on," Silva acknowledged to BNN after the game. "I was hoping the fans would kind of shush a little bit. They were making me nervous."

When his perfect day on the mound ended, he pumped his fist twice at the ground as he was swarmed by his teammates. He made his way off the field to a standing ovation from the crowd and gave fans a final wave before disappearing into the clubhouse.

"You don't talk to the guy about it, of course, but I could tell he was confident," Jimmies manager Jimmy Días said. "He wanted it."

The left-hander walked nobody and struck out 5 in the game, for which he had a special audience in the stands -- his parents. Silva said his dad appeared puzzled in the clubhouse after the game and asked what all the excitement was about.

"He said he got there late, and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, you missed my perfect game!'" Silva recounted. "Of course, turns out he was kidding. They had seen the whole thing."
