May 3rd, 2060 Charm City second baseman Dave Ackerman reached the 1,000 hit club. Ackerman became the 6th player in team history to join the 1,000 hit club (Tomás Guillén currently holds the team record with 1,445) with a line drive single in the bottom of the 5th against former teammate Mauro Mendoza. The ball Ackerman hit was measured to have an exit velocity 97.5 mph.

"He hit that ball hard. The base hit he got off me earlier in the 3rd I think he hit even harder. I hate giving up hits and I hate that our team lost the game even more, but I'm happy for Dave.
