Jackrabbit fans, management did not waiver much nor did they plan a long search. Today the front office announced the hiring of Ben Teague as GM of the Edmonton Jackrabbits. Owner Jim Leonard said, "We don't want to diminish the work done here but we've had our eyes on Teague since he was announced as a GM in UMEBA due to his lengthy BBA resume. Everything finally came together and we were able to usher him back into the league. We can't expect immediate success, but we trust in Teague's ability to meticulously put any franchise on the path to winning."

GM Ben Teague added, "It is a true honor to take over the Jackrabbits. There's a lot of playoff history here in Alberta (yes, including Calgary) and we hope to duplicate that for Jacks fans. It wasn't but a few seasons ago that you could expect post-season play and we will try our damnedest to get back to that level of competitiveness."

Since ripping off 9 consecutive years in the playoffs and 3 Landis championships they Jackrabbits have had 80, 86, and 75 wins. "It won't be easy," said Teague, "and there will be rocky travel, but we will always be working with the top people to right the ship."
