39.21 A Post-Bobby Lynch Jackrabbits Future #6 Sebastian Fradesso

This is where the list really starts heating up in a big way. Sebastian Fradesso is an outfielder that was selected in the 2038 draft. We have so many good outfield prospects that I'm still not sure where he'll fit in, but I'm excited to figure out how I will do it. I'm still shocked that his kid is only 18 years old and as far along in his progression as he is. He'll start out next season at 18 years old too.

He only played two years in high school, but that's all he needed apparently. He played in 79 games, collecting 316 at bats. He batted .342/.421/.759 with 20 doubles, two triples and 36 homeruns with 47 walks and only struck out 42 times. I love looking at 162 game averages for these guys some times. His 162 game average in high school would allow him to amass 74 homeruns and 187 RBIs lolol. Obviously these numbers never translate to major league performance, but clearly he could have been drafted at 16 years old because he was already very talented at a very young age. He was drafted with ratings of 2/2/3/3/3 with 9/8/8/6/8 potentials, but this was the hefty 2038 draft, so I expected some regression.

Fradesso started his minor league campaign in Rookie league. He batted .274/.324/.483 in 230 at bats with 20 doubles, two triples, eight homeruns and 41 Ks for a 2.0 WAR. He ended up lumping this past offseason to 8 contact and 7 power, but at the start of the 2039 season he grew to 5/6/3/4/6 actuals with 8/8/7/6/8 potentials. This year he started in A ball where he played 66 games, accrued 274 at bats and batted .328/.347/.487 with 22 doubles, a triple and six homeruns. At that point he was promoted to AA and hit .302/.360/.476 in 126 at bats with 12 doubles, two triples and two homeruns.

He has 5/7/11 ratings in the outfield, so he's likely best in right field, but that range hurts him. He's rated a six in right currently and I'm not sure where we'll fit him in, but I imagine he'll slot in at right with hopefully a range-y CF or in at DH. Depending on how he progresses this season I might keep him in AA next season and see how he does. He's rated 6/7/4/4/6 with 8/8/7/6/8 potentials. I'd prefer not to see him continue to pull back on his potentials of course, but he seems pretty stable here. If he bumps in power or eye this offseason though I think it may become pretty difficult to deny him time in AAA.
