All-Star Game
Luis Costello earned himself an All-star nod. The lone representative for the Jack Rabbits gives them some hope for the future with the young team. The 23-year-old Center Fielder sat down with us to give us his take on the game. “Rather disappointing on a personal performance level. It was nice to be with so many professional and talented players” The Frick league All-Stars lost a heartbreaker late in the 8th inning. Being up 3-2 they couldn’t hold onto the lead. Each team belted out nine hits and home runs were hit by M. Simpson, M. Wareham and H. Brewer on the Johnson all-star side of things. As far as Costello’s performance he went hitless in the game and struck out once.

The Jack Rabbits coming off the all-star break split a series with Phoenix. In the First game Mitch Dalrymple who got snubbed from the all-star game went four for five with two home-runs in the game. He is hitting .319 this season and second in hits in the Frick league right behind teammate! Dusty Rhodes! “It was nice to get a break,” said an unconcerned Dalrymple after his stellar performance against Phoenix. Dalrymple has been doing everything this year and has only committed one error in Right Field all season. He is looking to be a league leader in many categories in the years to come for Edmonton!
