Edmonton- Edmonton fans are remaining hopefully optimistic with their big league club. The team stumbled out of the gate this year going 3-7 in there first 10 games and 4 and 16 in there first 20. With Injuries to a handful of players fans were hoping the team would start putting together some wins. When May rolled around they played just under .500 ball putting together 13 wins and 14 losses.

The team was put to the test at the start of June facing the division-leading Seattle Storm. They won 2/3 games while the 22 year old Chet Parrish gave up 7 earned runs and Lionel Crepin of the Storm had his way going 2/3 on the day with a Home Run that had Seattle doubling up the Jack Rabbits 10-5.

Game two featuring Edmonton’s very own Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on the bump Johnny Morin! He threw 114 pitches giving up only two hits to the Seattle bat’s and all Edmonton would need. Morin likes the confines of John Ducey Park in Edmonton. He is pitching to a 4-1 record at home this year with a 3.17 ERA. Compared to being on the road where he is 0-5 and a 9.27 ERA!

The next game saw Edmonton’s bat get to Seattle's young up and coming star Ken Walter Edmonton put up 11 hits in Walter's 6.1 innings of work. Tacking on eight runs is all they would need to come away with a 9-5 win in the series finale. Edmonton has shown its ability to put up some wins versus some of the top teams but hasn't been consistent enough to keep those wins coming consistent enough for Gm Kaufmann. Expect some changes to be made shortly!

That's a crazy home road split for Morin. I should probably pay more attention to home road splits especially for pitchers.

Building momentum is good. Edmonton has resources to work with.
