Red Light District 2027.2 - Some exciting games

Post by Macgufo » Mon Aug 01, 2016 4:01 pm

For Neptunes fans was an exciting July end: a row of 5 "1-run" games, of which two back-to-back extra-inning and one decided at the bottom of 9th.

Some highlights:

Amsterdam has swept Brussel in 3 series games, all wins by 1,
In second game, after a come back from 4 runs, Neptunes ties on 7-7 at the bottom of 9th.
The first batter is Alains Perras who faced Lorenzo Pérez. The Eagles closer, 24 saved, selected a splitter as his first pitch … bang! A solo homer for 399ft. that wrap the game.

First serie game versus Paris goes at 12th inning:
Jesús Ruíz start with a double, then was sent home by a Ned Breur single. It's enough for a Amsterdam win as Tim MacPhater, allows only a single in the following half.

Patriots take the revenge in following game.
Coming back from 2-7 deficit Paris wins at 10th. With no out, 2-3 bases full, Fallon Meye hit a double giving the 60th win at his team.

To end some news about the local favorite Hyun-hi Son.

So far the 25 aged reliever has served as closer with good stats: 28 sv, 3.67 era, 1.22 WHIP.
To manage the Bob Latrobe injury the GM has hazarded to put him in rotation.
The debut as starter has been embarrassing: 6 runs in 3.1 inning, but the second start has been much better, a win with no runs in 6.0 ip, 5K 2BB.
We wait and see future evolution before to give a final opinion on this odd pick.

Latrobe won't be as good as he was in 2024 but 5/5/10 should still be enough to be an above average starter for the rest of the season. Definitely have a soft spot for the guy.
