Well, I suppose the bottom would have to start to fall out at some point when you field the pitching staff we do, and this sim looks to be the beginning of it. Overall, we went 4-0 when giving up less than 7 runs, so there's that (never mind the fact that we then had to give up 7+ in 6 games). In the ultimate case of irony, Medrano was suspended for his role in a bench clearing brawl the same day he was named EBA Player of the Week. In that game, Santiago Pagan (one of the top control pitchers in baseball) beaned Medrano after giving up a grand slam to Martinez, who is looking like he is having a breakout season.
We have an important stretch next sim and will need to at least battle for a split with Amsterdam and win the series against Rome to get the season on track.
Batter of the sim: Pancho Martinez - .325/.386/.525, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 6 R, 2 2B, 2 SB
Pitcher of the sim: Brian Bright - 2-0, 1.12 ERA, 16 IP, 1.12 WHIP

He's actually getting his first extended look in an EBA rotation. Clearly not the player he was back with Louisville, but if I can get a sub 1.4 WHIP and 4.00 ERA, I'll be happy with the pickup as that's an improvement on what he is replacing.felipe wrote:nice to see Bright still thriving
