Nicolas Delalande Outstanding Batter Award
Jeremy Cirolli
Catcher Cirolli led the team in batting average (.321), OPS (.865) and WAR (3.3) this past season. It was quite the feta considering that as catcher he appeared in only 76 games for the team. He easily could have neared his production of the last few seasons (6.6, 5.7 and 7.1 WAR the precious 3 seasons) had he played full time.
Rickard Gerg Outstanding Defense Award
Dave Rodriguez
Young 21 year old 2B Rodriguez had a great sophomore season for the team and was easily their best defender. He totaled +8.1 ZR, 1.027 EFF and had 115 double plays versus only 11 errors for the team.
Daniel Russel Outstanding Pitcher Award
Carlos Paez
Paez had a good year for the Bishops going 11-12 with a 3.93 ERA> Not greta by any means but he was the only starter with an ERA under 4.00. Yep, that’s not a misprint. He started 36 games and pitched 215 innings, giving up 208 hits and 59 walks with 131 strikeouts. His 1.24 WHIP was his best in his 4 years with London. Paez has been a consistent starter for the team.
Richard Cleveland Fireman Award
Jose Guzman
27 year old Guzman completed his second year with London by notching 22 saves in 65 appearances. The EBA veteran who also has played with Rome and Amsterdam has shown he can get righthanded batters out and was thrown into the closer role since coming to London. He had a 4-5 record in 63.1 IP this season.
Raul Bryant Basestealer Award
Adilmar Hoffman
Hoffman will soon have this award named after him as the 23 year old speedster has led the team in steals the last 3 seasons. This year he matched his career high of 36 steals and has 111 in his 3 plus years with the team. Upper management hopes to be able to keep the speedster around for a long time.
