1B Sam Brewington of the Amsterdam Neptunes honored: Wins the EBA EBA Batter of the Month Award.
Once one of the top catchers in the MBBA, Brewington has been on the downside of his career for a couple of seasons now. He can still hit a little, as evidenced by his power hitting ways in the EBA, but his defense behind the plate has eroded to a point where he really can't play there anymore, instead playing 1B, where he's below average at best.
Will he ever return to the MBBA? It's doubtful. I'd expect him to either retire after this year or continue his career in Europe.

CL Carlos Morales of the Belfast Northstars honored: Wins the EBA EBA Pitcher of the Month Award.
A former MBBA journeyman, he had a couple of opportunities to be a starter there but his control always bit him (see: 2007 with the Atlantic City Gamblers). After a short EBA stint in 2010, he bounced back and forth between the MBBA and AAA for the next few years, then returned as a full time starting pitcher in the EBA in 2014. This year, he's pitching in relief for the first time at the age of 39, and has 3 wins and 12 saves in 17 games thus far.
Will he ever return to the MBBA? No chance. He's a borderline AAA pitcher at best in North America, but there's a place for him in the EBA.

RF Rolf Erkelens of the Belfast Northstars honored: Wins the EBA EBA Rookie of the Month Award.
Erkelens, 21 years old, has some power potential and has shown it with 11 homers thus far. In June, his OBP improved to .333 from sub .300, and that is going to be the key of whether or not he'll develop into a true player or not.
Will we ever see him in the MBBA? It'll take bumps, but never count out a power hitter.
