Brewster Championship Preview: Nashville vs. Charlotte

For the third straight season, the Nashville Bluebirds have soared to the final stage. The reigning powerhouse is eyeing a sixth franchise title, with a chance to cement what many are calling a dynasty. Winners of 109 games this season and owners of the best run differential in baseball, Nashville has made the championship series in five of the past six years — an unprecedented run in modern Brewster history.

“This is what we’ve built for,” said Nashville skipper Brent Ross. “People want to call it a dynasty? Fine. But we’re just focused on the next four wins.”

Standing in their way is the Charlotte Flyers, making their second appearance in three seasons after a thrilling Johnson League title run. The Flyers boast the league’s top offense and look to avenge their 2060 championship defeat — a 4-1 loss to these same Bluebirds.

“We remember 2060,” said Charlotte manager Walt Whitworth. "Sure I was coaching R ball, but I remember it." “They beat us, sure. But this is a different team. Stronger. Hungrier. And ready to finish the job.”

The series features a classic clash: Nashville’s dominant pitching (519 runs allowed, best in the FL) versus Charlotte’s relentless offense (879 runs scored, best in the JL). It's a rematch with legacy implications — and with the entire Brewster world watching.

Game 1 begins tomorrow night in Nashville.
