2027-28 EBA Player Draft (Rule 6)

Post by recte44 » Sun Aug 21, 2016 2:38 pm

DRAFT OPEN NOW. Again, there will not be live drafting with time frames, but rather all drafting will be via lists. PM me with a list. Deadline is Tuesday 8/23, 7am Central.
Off Topic
The EBA Player Rights Draft (Rule 6 Draft) takes place during the MBBA championship series and consists of one round. It uses the same draft order as the upcoming Amateur Draft. Each MBBA team will be allowed (but not required) to draft the rights to one active EBA player, with the following stipulations:

· Player must have at least 4 years of EBA Major League service time OR be a former MBBA player with any amount of MBBA Major League experience

· The draft selection will cost the drafting team 10PP

Each player selected in this draft enters the upcoming MBBA free agent pool. As such, any MBBA team may sign any of these players. However, the team that drafted a player in the EBA Player Rights Draft retains the rights to accept said player on his team, along with the exact contract that he signed as a free agent. As such, once a contract has been finalized with a player selected in the EBA Player Rights Draft (assuming by some other team than his drafting one), his drafting GM will be notified by the League Director and will be given 48 hours to state whether he will exercise his right to the player and have him join his team under the contract terms. If he declines to exercise his rights to the player, or does not give an answer within the 48 hours, the player is retained by the team that signed him.

1.RP Bailey Attehow - a reliever with a bad split against lefties, but he could probably play in the Brewster
2. 2B Dave Rodriguez - will be a crap bat in the Brewster, but his good glove will keep him employed
3. LF Arnoldo Scalia - lefty so he'll play in a platoon, but will be a subpar MBWBA LF
4-10. A bunch of other guys who people shouldn't waste 10PP and millions of dollars on to ride their pine for 5 years, but they will anyway.

Next year looks better.

Yeah, my quick research last week revealed a whole lotta nothin besides Attehow. Should be a decent reliever. I wish there were a bat tho.

Madison passes. I don't see much worthy of using 10 PPs on at the top of the draft.
