Something a little different this year, rather than posting time frames and the confusion that ensues thereof, we're going to do this by list this year. Send me a list and instructions via PM and I'll finalize this draft before Sunday's LMS sim.

Feel free to post your pick in the thread if you're up, but if not, then wait for me to reveal the picks by the deadline which is the LMS sim.

Martini is on the rocks. Have at him boys. Just leave me a rule 5 eligible slick fielding center fielder with a 6 contact rating for the heads up. :hi5:

...collusion hits the MBWBA/EBA

How about a league run pick for Greenville since they're ownerless so we can get this moving along.....

What's the rush? At least let the EBA finish the season before you start poaching our players! Haha.

Well the draft goes to submitted lists at the conclusion of the LMS, which based on the calendar, is Tuesday. So that leaves these two days, a weekend, and then Monday. I already know which two guys I'm going after but may help some of the teams who draft after 10 if we can at least start the process.

Plus they won't go onto our teams for a while. Makes an interesting story line for you EBA guys if your players know they're likely leaving but still in a playoff push. haha

If the new Greenville GM comes from the EBA, then he can take his own player with him. That would be a wierd twist. Thinking all year that he's lose that player, but in actuality. that's the only one he keeps.

That would be fun. The new GM is coming from the EBA I believe, unless there's a special circumstance...

After a lot of back and forth on Ray, I'm going to have to pass on him because I just don't think I'm hot enough on him to ever win a bidding war for his services. So...

With the first pick in the 2025 Rule 6 Draft, the Greenville Moonshiners select......

I "sort of" did that last year. I ran Brussels for about 2 weeks and then got Salazar. I should have really played it up as a coup that I came in, swooped up the rights to Salazar, and brought him to Madison, and then left Brussels.

Thank you, Tyler. Ray was the guy I wanted all along.

Madison selects, Russ Ray, shortstop from Amsterdam.

Heh. That just makes me feel better about my decision. It seems that he is a number of people's #1 by far and there was no way I could see myself winning a bidding war on him.

I feel like with the amount of money getting thrown at these guys, the EBA teams should get a cut!

I feel the bidding on Grenados will be higher than that on Ray. I may be wrong. If Ray goes very high I likely won't match but I felt Grenados will draw the higher attention as he could be a very good pitcher in the MBWBA. I honestly considered passing on Grenados if he fell to 2 because I don't think I could match his contract.

Yeah, I thought of making a pick that would have given me a higher chance of retaining the player. Probably a good chance Grenados doesn't end up in Greenville.

Granados will definitely end up making more money. First he's a pitcher, and second he specializes in the "sexier" rating for a pitcher (stuff). Ray, on the other hand, doesn't specialize in the 'sexy' batter stuff (high CON or high POW) and instead relies on an overall nice bat (made better by his SHB split working out correctly, obviously) and defense. Overall, I can easily see Ray being the superior player due to the prime position he plays, though.

Nothing Kyle just said is true. Ray sucks and everyone should just pass on him! Maybe throw a league minimum deal at him.....

I think the Rule 6 draft is my favorite part of the league. When even a positive comment about something a GM did can turn out to be a negative it just makes me fuzzy all over. ;)
