July 1, 2009 - Multiple sources have confirmed to me that teams have been checking on on numerous Seattle Storm players as they have quickly fallen out of contention for anything except a top 5 pick in next year's draft. I haven't been told what teams have been reaching out to the Storm but I'm hoping that Manny has been listening as he needs to sell off these players and get some help if the Storm are going to survive in the FL Pacific.
I think anyone besides 3b - Trey Williams could be had, I'd be shocked if teams weren't at least kicking the tires on SP - Morgan 'The Tornado' Ackerman. I don't think the Storm would trade him unless they were overwhelmed with an offer but Manny should at least keep the option open.
C - Ron Lipp would probably bring in a nice package of youngsters but I could understand keeping him as he isn't that old and is really crushing the ball.
Will Simmons would be great for a team looking for a leadoff hitter but how many of these players can Manny deal without angering his loyal fan base and still field a competent ML team?
Stay tuned folks as the deadline is only 30 days away.
