Star Reliever Wants One More Check
QUESTIONS OF USAGE FLY

Will Vidaca End
Career Elsewhere?November 7, 2062, Marshall Islands > The cheering had barely subsided in Nashville when Felix Vidaca went public with news that he was looking forward to being a free agent. "I know I'm getting to the age where I really have only one more real contract left," said the 37-year-old veteran. "If Bikini wants me, I'll keep an ear open."
Vidaca's agent, Bertram C. "Bertie the Squirty" Myers, the CEO of SPorts Representation, Education, And Digital Entertainment Management - Wide, Inc. (known to BBA GMs across the globe as SPREAD'EM-Wide, Inc.) was less sanguine. "My client was lied to, and now their going to have to pay up or see him in another uniform."
Myers is referring to commentary around the league that the team's decision to push Vidaca exclusively to the bullpen had drawn the pitcher's ire. Before then, Vidaca had been a true Swiss Army knife of a pitcher, throwing in every role the team could concoct. He apparently felt the team's decision to remove utility made the game less fun--though it's worth it to note that Vidaca made several starts at the end of the season, despite not being stretched out. If the pitcher's angst is true it complicates the situation in Bikini for 2063. Their depth of organization is well-discussed, but a majority of that talent is targeted at 2064, so it seemed clear that Vidaca was considered a stepping-stone (his opt-out was of a 1-season arrangement).
Vidaca apparently had this to say to that:
