August 5, 2058: Forever Land – “What is it with shoulders this week?” said Bikini medical specialist Izz Al din Rafi in an extended moment of being interviewed on the new show Krill Drill. “I don’t know what’s up, but it’s like everyone in the organization is stressing or straining a shoulder.

At the big-league level, outfielder Michael Buckley bruised his throwing shoulder while sliding into second base against the Mounties. He’s day-to-day for the time being. At AA, starting pitcher Roger Sommerville strained his shoulder, and will be shut down for the next five weeks, which means essentially the rest of the year. And at A-ball, infielder Terry Leslie separated his shoulder and is out for at least three weeks, possibly more.

“These things go in cycles,” said Forever Land Network’s Sports Beat Anchor Misty Morgan. “And it’s not like shoulders are the only thing that went wrong recently. The team also had Port au Prince catcher Jose Ortiz go down with a hip flexor, and another kid was out with a cold.”

Leslie was put on the IL, leaving a total of 16 players disabled—though two, AAA players John Parrish and Ryan Blakeney are due to return to action now.
