Sides Reported As “Closer”
July 18, 2057: Marshall Islands – After a long string of reports suggesting the team and Run-ming Gui were far apart on terms for a contract extension that would render Gui’s player option next year null and void, reports are surfacing that Krill GM and Gui agent Berty “the Squirty” Myers are working to dot the I’s and cross the “H”s on a new deal.
Can’t come too soon for fans, whose heads have to be whirling with the mind-numbing pace that players are coming and going with these days, and who have been clamoring for the team to extend their star’s contract.
