No matter how badly a team's season goes (and, if you're not new here, you know that Seattle's 2047 season was very bad indeed) a team's fans can usually find solace by looking at a team's minor league system and looking at how the team's best prospects performed. It's not a foolproof plan, of course, as a team's prospects can often fail to develop into the sort of stars that fans envision, but let's not focus on that right now. Instead, let's take a look at Seattle's best minor league hitter and pitcher, and think about what might happen in the future.
Top Hitter: Shane Wilkinson has long polarized scouts as he's made his long, patient climb up Seattle's farm system. He's spent a full season at every minor league level, and he's been an above-average regular at each of those levels. This year was no exception, as he produced 4.0 WAR at AAA Kalamazoo. However, many scouts who look at Wilkinson just don't see enough talent for him to ever succeed at the highest level, and they view his ceiling as a good AAA player who might be overmatched at the highest level. It seems likely that we'll get to find out sooner rather than later, however, as Wilkinson no longer has anything left to prove in the minors.
Top Pitcher: On the mound, it's looking like Malcolm Jolly is Seattle's top pitching prospect. Jolly put up decent AAA numbers this season, with a 3.62 FIP and 2.0 WAR. Scouts don't rave about Jolly's talent, but he throws three above-average pitches, and he throws hard. Scouts' main worry is with his control, as he's been prone to walking batters in the past, and there's no sign that he's eliminated that issue. However, it looks like Seattle might need a 5th starter next season, and when a team has very little cap room, it always makes sense to look for internal replacements first, so don't be surprised to see Jolly in a Seattle uniform soon.

My team’s fans have been living off my various minors for almost a decade lol. Not with much success though, but at least they’ve managed a few winning seasons

Yeah, our minors have generally not been great for a while, and this year was no exception
