When your team finishes 67-95, it's going to be hard to find too many good things to say. Hard, but, perhaps, not totally impossible. Even thought Seattle's 2047 season was an abject disaster, let's take a loot at some of Seattle's top performers, and see if there's anything to be excited about.
Seattle's team leader this season in offensive WAR was shortstop Pedro Diaz, who posted 4.4. What's so strange about Diaz's season is that his improvement did not really come on the offensive side of the ball. After posting a .725 OPS last season, Diaz's OPS went all the way up to... .734 this season. What was notable about Diaz's performance this season, however, came on the defensive side of the ball. After a down performance last season, Diaz rebounded nicely and provided above-average defense at the shortstop position, which was almost totally responsible for his significantly improved overall performance.
Alexander Julyan remains an excellent hitter, although his defense slipped a bit this past season, and it will be interesting to see if he can remain in center field.
On the mound, it's difficult to find too much to be happy about. Perhaps the only truly underrated performer was Mutsuhito Imai, who was fantastic out of Seattle's bullpen. In 89 innings he had 82 strikeouts and only allowed 2 home runs, which was largely responsible for his stellar 2.69 FIP. Of course, there can frequently be regression with home run rates, but Seattle fans were certainly pleased with Imai's performance this season.

It doesn’t always have to be something good you say about the team lol. All my team news articles are full of how crap they are and who’s next to lose their spot on the roster.
Some teams if they only wrote about good stuff would never turn in anything at all. You have to get the rough with the smooth out lol
