Through 17 games, the Seattle Storm have a record of 8-9, and a run differential of -3. While this is certainly nothing to celebrate, it also could be a lot worse, we suppose. Let's take a look at who Seattle's best and worst performres have been through this young season.

TOP PERFORMERS: So far this season, Seattle's offense has functionally been carried by two people: Todd Rice and Vincent Vanderhugen. So far Vander Hugen has an OPS of 1.242, and his 6 home runs lead the team. In short, Vanderhugen has been nothing short of incredible at the plate this season, but he also might not be Seattle's top hitter. For that honor, he'll need to compete with Todd Rice, who has an OPS of 1.117, and has somehow only struck out 3 times while playing quality defense in center field.

On the mound, Seattle has been led by Luther Summers, who has been enjoying a bit of a bounce-back season from his disappointing 2040 campaign. Through 4 starts, Summers has a 2.89 ERA over 21 innings.

WORST PERFORMERS: While there were some truly awful performances to start the season, that appears to have normalized a bit. Now, it seems like Seattle's worst offensive performer this season has been Michael Durham, whose paltry .562 OPS is unlikely to cut it for too much longer. On the mound, Miguel Angel Garza and his 14.40 ERA have drawn the ire of Seattle fans, who must hope that some improvement will be on the horizon at some point soon.
