On the surface, things looked pretty good for Seattle, as they went 4-3 in their most recent sim, while outscoring their opponents by 5 runs. Not all is well, however, as a devastating injury will be shaking things up for Seattle soon.

Top Performers: Francisco Salazarled the way for Seattle's offense, as he produced a .944 OPS during the sim. Aurelio Lopezalso contributed with a .916 OPS. On the mound, https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 36245.htmlHector Marquez was terrific, as he made 2 starts, went 15.1 innings, and only gave up 3 earned runs, although he did take a hard-luck loss in a 1-0 defeat to the 9.

Worst Performers: Jose Cortes continues to struggle at the plate, and his OPS remains under .550 on the season. There are rumblings that Seattle might be contemplating moving him out of the leadoff spot if he's unable to snap out of his funk.

Unfortunately, while Seattle went 4-3, this sim could end up being disastrous, as Ken Walter tore his meniscus and will miss the next 4-5 months. Walter has been one of the best pitchers in baseball for the last 5 seasons, and his absence for the foreseeable future will make Seattle's future much more difficult. Time will tell who Seattle will turn to, and if the replacements can provide anything close to the value that Walter has.
