Chasing The Storm 2037-2 Sim 3 Review

Post by njherdfan » Mon Dec 17, 2018 1:46 pm

The city of Seattle had a collective exhale recently, as the Storm appeared to be getting back on track for the 2037 season. In their most recent performance, the Storm went 5-1, and outscored their opponents 37-29. Let's take a look at some of Seattle's best and worst performers.

TOP PERFORMERS: It seems like only yesterday when we noted that Alfredo Contreras had been the victim of absolutely terrible BABIP luck, and that his underlying numbers were actually quite good. Well, it appears that someone was listening, because things broke in the other direction this past week. In 2 starts, Contreras went 16.2 innings, allowing only 10 hits and 1 earned run, while striking out 17 and walking none, for an ERA of 0.54. Needless to say, his season numbers are looking a lot better. At the plate, John Hickman led the way for the Storm offense. In 6 games and 23 at-bats, he posted an OPS of 1.490. Lionnel Crepin also appeared to begin to wake up out of his season-long slumber, as he posted an OPS of .970 and hit his first home run of the season.

WORST PERFORMERS: Seattle had a pretty good week at the plate, so no one really stands out as deserving criticism. On the mound, Luther Summers struggled in his 1 start, as he lasted only 5.2 innings and gave up 8 runs.

Unforuntately for Seattle, Rubem Bordonhos was injured. It appears likely that Rick Terry will step into the starting lineup during Bordonhos's absence.
