Chasing The Storm 2033-6 Sim 12 Review

Post by njherdfan » Thu Dec 28, 2017 10:38 am

Much of the good will that had followed Seattle’s promising 38-31 start was wiped away, as the Storm went 1-5, and were outscored 52-20. As if that wasn’t enough, Seattle’s promising young shortstop Manny Montanez was injured, and he will miss the rest of the season. Other than that, though, everything was great! Let’s take a look at some of Seattle’s best and worst performers.

TOP PERFORMERS: At the plate, Seattle was led by John Hickman. In 6 games, he had 25 at-bats and 10 hits, along with an OPS of 1.160, as he continues to very quietly have an excellent season. On the mound, both Julio Alicea and Esteban Sanchez pitched very well in their lone starts. Sanchez went 8 innings and allowed only 2 earned runs, while allowing 4 hits and striking out 4. Alice went 7 innings and also gave up 2 earned runs, while striking out 7.

WORST PERFORMERS: This is a much longer list. In 11 at-bats, Cesar Montoya didn’t record a single hit, which led to an OPS of .267. Not to be outdone, Rick Terry only managed a .444 OPS in 18 at-bats. With the recent injury of Montanez, Seattle will need Terry to step up. On the mound Luis Espinoza was simply terrible, as he gave up 14 earned runs in 7.1 innings over 2 starts. Not to be outdone, Len Caldwell gave up 8 earned runs in 5 innings in his lone start.
