Chasing The Storm 2033-4 Sim 8 Review

Post by njherdfan » Mon Dec 18, 2017 10:33 am

Seattle fans have long argued that they’re not selfish. On the contrary, they’re perfectly reasonable; as long as the Storm wins every game, then they’re perfectly content. Last week’s sim provided confirmation for those claims, as the Storm went a perfect 6-0, while outscoring their opponents 48-19, and Seattle’s fans were perfectly happy. Let’s take a look at Seattle’s best and worst performers.

TOP PERFORMERS: At the plate Seattle’s offense was carried by John Hickman. In 6 games and 24 at-bats, Hickman hit a perfect .500, en route to a 1.446 OPS. Jorge Garza was also superb, and he also hit .500, as he mashed to the tune of a 1.350 OPS. Although Jorge Rodriguez didn’t play as well, he did hit 2 home runs, to go to 490 for his career. On the mount, Seattle fans were happy to see a solid performance from Luis Espinoza, who went 7 innings and allowed only 1 earned run. Esteban Sanchez was also terrific, as he pitched a complete game, allowing only 2 runs.

WORST PERFORMERS: When your team goes 6-0, there generally aren’t too many problems, and that was the case here. But it’s worth noting that Owen Stark continued his terrible start, as he put up a .649 OPS. On the mount, Len Caldwell was hit very hard, as he made 2 starts, went 11 innings, and gave up 19 hits and 8 runs. Of course, he was bailed out by Seattle’s offense, but that’s unlikely to continue.
