I don't understand the obsession with catcher defense! Farid bin Mubarak started 115 games for the Surfers this year and was a .300 hitter! And he's benched for the playoffs?? Some kid from Stockton named Rhys gets the starts because 'defense' and 'framing'?? I'm tired of these front office dweebs telling managers how to run their teams. The game is played on the field, not on a spreadsheet!

Purssell MIA? What happened to that dude and his silly moustache? All that fanfare at the trade deadline about, 'star closer' and 'veteran presence' and the playoffs come around and he's not even on the roster? I hope Juan Garza has a long career in Vegas so that the front office learns a lesson here.

I wanna blame Jay Hodge. I wanna blame the front office, or the manager. But the team just didn't hit. Morris hit a buck fifty, Cordova basically the same. Fox...my boy, I love him but .222? Really? Especially in game 5 when it really mattered. I mean, I'm happy to see them back in the playoffs...but they really should have been the ones going to Sacramento for the Doubleday Series.
