PEDRO AVILA SPECTACULAR IN MAJOR LEAGUE DEBUT

Valencia, CA
April 28, 2041

Twenty-three year old rookie Pedro Avila made a debut this evening for the Long Beach Surfers this evening against the Valencia Stars.

It was a rather unexpected debut for the 23 year old, who was called upon in the fifth inning, but to the surprise of the 41,498 souls in attendance at Honigsfeld Field, he had the best performance of any Surfer today.

Over 2.1 innings pitched, he allowed only 1 hit, 1 walk and struck out 1 batter. That's 5 more outs than the unlucky Surfers starter Cornelio Lozano recorded in his disastrous outing.

Despite ratings of 1/1/1 on the mound, and only possesing a 1/1 fastball with no other pitches, scouts were very impressed by this outing, and think that Avila has quite a bright future in the Brewster.

He's hitting .333/.415/.570 so far this season.

In other completely unrelated news, the Stars beat the Surfers by a score of 20-0 today.
