WHIV 2062.2- Berrera Brilliant Return Yields Three Losses

The Las Vegas Hustlers got what they view as a major pre-Trade Deadline addition to their team when last year's third place finisher in the JL Nebraska Award voting, Carlos Berrera returned to BBA action on August 2nd at home against Rocky Mountain.
He was absolutely filthy in his return.
Unfortunately for Carlos, the Hustlers offense was completely missing in action, unable to score a single run. Rafael Gonzalez allowed a run in the top of the eleventh and the Hustlers were again unable to score in the bottom of the eleventh.
Result: Rocky Mountain, 1, at Las Vegas 0. NO DECISION
On Monday, August 7th Berrera and the Hustlers traveled to Mexico City to face the Aztecs. It was an earlier exit for Carlos on this day, but a solid performance nonetheless:
He left with the lead, 1-0, still carrying a 0.00 ERA on the season. Unfortunately Alejandro Chavez had a complete meltdown that the Hustlers could not recover from:
Result: at Mexico City 4, Las Vegas 3. NO DECISION
Next up for Berrera were the Calgary Pioneers, August 12th in Alberta.
Another brilliant performance for Carlos, whose ERA "ballooned" to 0.47 after allowing his first (and only) run of the season. Stop me if you heard this one before. He exited, Chavez entered, and once again barfed up the game:
Result: at Calgary 4, Las Vegas 1. NO DECISION
So, despite three outstanding performances, Berrera is 0-0 and his team is 0-3 in his starts. Here's hoping for better results moving forward:
