This day has been in the works for years. Behind the scenes of the Las Vegas Hustlers front office, plans were laid in place several years ago for a time when Edward Allen decided (on his terms) to step aside as Hustlers manager. GM Matt Rectenwald knew long ago who would replace him, and though he never specifically told that person of his plans, he
seemed to know it was a possibility.
Rectenwald announced today that
Henry Rectenberg is indeed the new manager of the Las Vegas Hustlers. Rectenberg, 43 years old, has been managing in the Hustlers minor league system since his retirement, and has had four playoff appearances in seven minor league seasons.
The new skipper had some other positions to fill, with long time pitching coach Skip Glendenning retiring, and hitting coach Bernardo Herrera not retained.

After serving loyally in the Hustlers minor league system for nineteen seasons, 57 year old
Tony "Fudd" Banuelos is finally back in the big leagues, named by Rectenberg as the Hustlers' new hitting coach. Banuelos played the first seven of his thirteen BBA seasons with the Hustlers (2022-2028) and is a lifetime .306 hitter.

The new Pitching Coach is no stranger to GM Matt Rectenwald- it's
Elliot "Snow God" Buckland. The 48 year old just finished his first season in the Hustlers system with Roswell (Rookie League) and will now jump back to the BBA, where he had previously served as Pitching Coach of Charm City (2050) and San Antonio (2053-2055). Buckland finished his BBA pitching career in Las Vegas (2044) after one of Rectenwald's most
ill-advised trades.
