WHIV 2051.4- Checking The Locks: Catchers

"Checking the Locks" takes a look at the Las Vegas Hustlers camp roster and how it might breakdown to an Opening Day roster. Let's start with the Catchers.
Sure-Fire Lock (1):
Reggie Leeper
Leeper returned on an even more club-friendly deal than last year, so mark him down as a lock.
Near Lock (1):
Calvin Johnson
Talent wise, Johnson would be a sure fire lock. Given his subpar performance last year and large salary cap number, his position isn't quite a given.
Trying To Break In (2):
Jared Bolen
Jean-Baptiste Bertrand
With Johnson a "maybe", the Hustlers signed Bolen to a four year, guaranteed deal. Despite clubhouse issues that have been rumored, the Hustlers like Bolen as a potential platoon partner with Leeper. Bertrand is a young player who is on the 40-man roster but probably the least likely of any of the catchers to make the team.
Breaking In The Back Door (1):
Spencer Hillson
Hillson is a veteran, minor league (with ML option) signee who gives the Hustlers real veteran depth for the first time in quite some time.
