WHIV 2049.4- Rasmussen III Close To The Bigs?
John "Little Johnny" Rasmussen III has been around the game for as long as he can remember. "My grandpops, John Rasmussen, was one of the horses on those great Madison Wolves teams of the 2000's," said Rasmussen III. My pops didn't play pro ball, but grandpops always had me around the game."
Rasmussen III turned into a hell of a fine pitcher, even though it seemed like a stretch just six years ago. In 2043, Rasmussenn III was in his only year in the High School All-Stars league, and he struggled wildly. In nine starts, he was 1-6 with a 10.50 ERA and 2.13 WHIP. "I was all over the place, and had no idea what I was doing," admitted Rasmussen III. It was so ugly that the elder Rasmussen determined that nothing would be gained from another year of getting shelled in the HSAS league, and put him into a one on one situation for all of 2044 in preparation for the draft. "Grandpops asked me straight out if I wanted to be a pitcher or not, and I said heck yeah," said Rasmussen III. They embarked on a year of intense training, game simulations, and more. The year paid off, as scouts were buzzing around the mysterious legacy.
The 2045 BBA Draft came around, and despite being extremely raw, the Las Vegas Hustlers made him the eighth overall pick in the draft. "Be patient," advised Hustlers GM Matt Rectenwald. "Johnny is going to need time to develop, and the early results might be ugly." Ugly, they were indeed. At Rookie League Roswell, he was 3-7, 15 G (14 GS), 9.36 ERA, 2.29 WHIP. "Don't worry about the numbers," Rectenwald advised the young Rasmussen III. "It's about finding out what works and what doesn't."
The Hustlers had him repeat Rookie ball in 2046, to much better results (4-7, 13 GS, 3.53 ERA, 1.33 WHIP). He earned a late promotion to Class A Pahrump, where in three starts he posted a 8.59 ERA and 2.32 WHIP.
2047 would be spent entirely in Pahrump. This would be the last year of mixed results for Johnny. He was 4-9 in 21 GS, 4.49 ERA, 1.50 WHIP.
The Hustlers moved him to Class AA Reno in 2048 and he pitched quite well (19 GS, 5-6, 4.04 ERA, 1.22 WHIP). This earned him a promotion to Class AAA Milwaukee, where he was 3-3 in 10 starts with a 3.99 ERA and 1.28 WHIP, and then started one playoff game as well (7 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 5 K, no-decision).
Now it's 2049, and Rasmussen III finds himself in Las Vegas' Spring Training camp wondering if this will be the year he makes the BBA. "This is the biggest jump of them all, but I think I'm ready," said Rasmussen III.

It is the only HOF that truly matters!
Well, the Portland one is pretty nice as well but no members yet.
