The long road to recovery has reached its destination for Las Vegas Hustlers left-hander Brian King. King, of course, suffered a rotator cuff injury last May 28th and is just now making his way back to the big leagues.
The club worked him back slowly with Milwaukee (AAA), as he was on strict pitch counts in his five rehab starts there, with a high of 71 pitches thrown. King, 28 years old, was looking like the Hustlers' ace last year before the injury. He now joins a team that has the best ERA in the Johnson League. Without an obvious place for him in the rotation, he will pitch out of the bullpen for the Hustlers, at least for now.
"I'll do whatever the team wants," said King.
