Goodman, Jr. enters the room, along with Nicco Fertitta, Jr., Vice President of Operations for Station Casinos, Inc.
Goodman, Jr. steps to the podium.
"Good morning. As you know, my name is Steve Goodman, Jr. and I am the Principal Owner of the Las Vegas Hustlers. With me today is Nicco Fertitta, Jr. of Station Casinos Inc. We are here today to announce a major event in the history of the Hustlers franchise."
Goodman, Jr. continues.
"It has been reported by several news outlets that a company named LVHSCI has been buying up land all around the Palace Station Hotel and Casino. These reports are 100% accurate. In the early part of the year, as my fathers' health was fading, he brokered a meeting with Mr. Fertitta, Jr. in order to ensure the long term success of this franchise. Nicco and I were able to come to an agreement on a new partnership between the Palace Station Hotel and Casino and the Las Vegas Hustlers. We incorporated LVHSCI, which as you may have guessed means Las Vegas Hustlers/Station Casinos Inc., and began to work towards a grand plan that Nicco and I have conceived for our joint venture. Yes, the purchase of land around the Palace Station is earmarked for our joint venture. We both had a vision for our entities and realized that by combining our efforts we could really create something special. WIth that said, I'll turn it over to Nicco."
Fertitta, Jr. approaches the microphone.
"Thank you, Steve. It's very exciting to be here today as we move forward in partnership. It's even more exciting that Steve is letting me make this announcement. I, like most Vegas folks, have been die-hard Hustlers fans for my whole life. Throughout the years the Hustlers have given us so many great times and championships in that old ballpark (The Casino by Moe Fugger). Likewise, the Palace Station Hotel and Casino has been entertaining local folks and tourists alike for many, many years. We both have a great product, and we each need a new venue. The Hustlers ballpark is now over 70 years old, and though it's charming it is badly outdated. The same can be said for the Palace Station, which last had major renovations twenty plus years ago."
Nicco pauses, takes a drink of water, and begins speaking again.
"So, Steve and I formed LVHSCI, came up with a vision together that until now has been under wraps. Now that we've completed purchasing all of the surrounding land that we will need for the project we can finally announce that we are building a new megaplex, the Palace Station Casino & Ballpark. We will be modernizing the whole casino and hotel, including convention center and meeting spaces. The new Palace Station will be the most luxurious venues an affordable price point in the world. The attached ballpark and Las Vegas Hustlers Hall of Fame will feature a retractable roof, and state of the art amenities such as personal cloud portals at each seat in the stadium for real time analytics and video. I'll yield to Steve who is excited to tell you about the dimensions and expected factors of the new ballpark."
Goodman, Jr., beaming with pride, takes over.
"My goodness, you are going to love this new park folks. With new technologies available in construction now, we will be able to finish this entire project by Opening Day 2046. I have issued a PDF to everyone for review of the specs of the new stadium. Thank you all for coming today, and Go Hustlers!"
