GM: "Good morning everyone. Crazy foggy outside. Hope everyone had a safe drive in. Lets get down to business. Questions? Yes?"

Jenkins: "LEEROY JENKINS!!!"

GM: "Uh ok? Do you have an actual question?"

GM: "Alright who let this guy in here? Does anyone know who this is? Goldie?"

Goldie: "That's Leroy Jenkins..."

GM: "Thanks genius. I gathered that much. Seriously now. What media outlet are you from?"

GM: "Ok we get it Leroy. Does anyone else have a question? Yes Lindsey?"

Soik: "This offseason you handed out a 4 year, 35 million dollar contract to Abe Colbert Jr right after celebrating getting out from under Mauro Flores contract. Care to comment?"

GM: "Well thanks for actually asking a question. Seriously Leroy I have a headache now because of you. Well anyway Colbert's contract isn't even half of what Flores was going to make on a year to year basis and we think at this stage, he will put up similar numbers. That's just a total win. I understand it looks like he is coming off his only good year to date and it seems like an overpay, but we have the budget and the plan is to not over expose him. Having a veteran knuckleball pitcher is a good thing. Besides if we didn't sign him then that pickle smoocher down in Mexico City might have."

Bustamante: "I assume you are referring to Fred Holmes? I still don't get this whole pickle smoocher thing..."

GM: "Well you knew who I was talking about didn't you? That's proof enough in my book. Yes?"

Goldie: "The team is currently in 6th place in the division. Wouldn't you consider that a disappointment?"

GM: "Wow we are going there already?! We are 2-2. Hell our staff ace Alvin Chartrand hasn't even thrown an official pitch yet! Seems awfully early to be analyzing anything results based yet. Look its April. All we want out of the first month of the season is to remain healthy, knock off any remaining rust from the offseason and just not fall too far behind. When the calendar flips to May then we can start discussing how the team is stacking up to the rest of the league."

Soik: "What about L'Archibudelli? When will we see him on the big league team?"

GM: "Oh my god. Come on I literally just told you how we feel about April. Girolamo will spend at least a few weeks in AAA. He needs to play everyday and since you seem so preoccupied with results already, our left fielder Craig Barber is tearing the cover off the ball. Besides most people don't even apparently know who he is. He was left off the top prospects list again so for now we will let him fly under the radar. Lets all just take a chill pill til May ok?"

Jenkins: "Speaking of top prospects. According to OSA, Las Vegas has the worst farm system in the league. Good job chief."

GM: "Wow you can say more than just your name? I'm stunned. So stunned its time to go!"

Sounds like a hit piece in-the-making.

How much hype has been created for The Italian- it's a lot. Can he live up to it? So far, so good.
