Rectenwald To Step Down

It's official. Las Vegas Hustlers General Manager Matt Rectenwald has officially announced that he will step down from his post with the team at the conclusion of the 2039 season.
Rectenwald has served as the General Manager of the storied Hustlers franchise since the origination of the league back in 1973. During this time the franchise has made 42 Playoff Appearances, made 13 Landis Memorial Series appearances, and brought 9 Landis Championships Trophies home to Vegas.
Rectenwald issued the following statement:
"Nothing lasts forever. I have truly loved my time in Las Vegas, and the memories will never fade. As they say, 'Flags Fly Forever'. An opportunity for a fresh challenge has presented itself and after careful consideration I have chosen to accept that challenge. With that said, at the close of the 2039 season I will step down from my post as General Manager of the Hustlers and will be accepting the position of Director of Baseball Operations with the Nashville Goats franchise. I would not have made this move without ensuring that the future of the Hustlers franchise will be in good hands, and with that being said I am proud to announce that the Hustlers will be naming Brett Schroeder as their new General Manager at the end of this season. Brett has a solid track record in our league and will no doubt keep the Hustlers at an elite status moving forward."
