Two Hustlers Win BBA Awards

Two members of the 2038 Johnson League Champion Las Vegas Hustlers were honored with Brewster Awards for their play this year.
Left-fielder Carlos Camacho won the JL Comeback Player of the Year Award. Vegas was roundly roasted for signing the volatile Camacho to a 3 year, $9.8M contract in the offseason after he had played his way out of three organizations and in Yellow Springs became "persona non grata". In Vegas it was quite different. He didn't cause any scenes in the clubhouse, started out in a short platoon role and worked his way into a full time spot in center field by late April. When the Hustlers called up rookie sensation Tom Rudge he moved to left field without nary a peep. At the end of the season Camacho led the Hustlers with 28 homers and 98 RBI with outstanding overall numbers.
Second baseman Quant "Superman" Kouros won his second straight JL Charles Puckett Golden Bat Award at 2B. His outstanding overall numbers almost exclusively out of the leadoff slot fuel the Hustlers offense.
