Annual Roster Expansion Notes
September 1, 2035

The Hustlers took full advantage of the September roster expansion, filling their roster with a bunch of players that will get an opportunity to prove they belong.

Catcher Benjamin Clark (6/7/5/4/9 Ratings) was up earlier in the season, but was sent back down after the Hustlers signed veteran Jeffrey Warren to back up Hank Brewer (8/7/7/7/7 Ratings) behind the dish. In his first season with the Vegas organization he proved he can definitely hit the ball but defense is a concern.

Utilityman Michel Lambert (6/7/2/3/8 Ratings) is back with the Hustlers. He was given a chance to seize a starting job after Lloyd Braun (7/7/5/6/6 Ratings) was traded but didn’t hit enough to hang on to it.

Rookie star Antonio Cortez (7/7/6/4/7 Ratings) rejoins the Hustlers and will be given every opportunity to seize the right field position moving forward.
Youngster Kazuo Yamamoto (5/5/7/7/6 Ratings) also rejoins the Hustlers and will also be given a chance to take the third base position and claim it for the Hustlers future.

Vegas also brought several veteran players up to the big leagues in an effort to still go for a playoff spot despite what appears to be a re-tooling phase.

Knuckleballer Floyd Carter (7/6/9 Ratings) is the primary piece recalled. He figures to make an impact on the pitching staff, whether it be in relief or in a starting role. He’s joined on the pitching staff by Eddy de Greef (9/5/8 Ratings) and Hector Freitas (8/6/7 Ratings) who both appear to be bullpen depth pieces.

Outfielder James Cunningham (5/5/6/3/7 Ratings) will get a crack at playing center field against left-handed pitching, as will slugger Pedro Canales (6/5/7/7/9 Ratings) as a pinch hitter.

Finally, the Hustlers took the opportunity to reward Gary Estes (5/7/6 Ratings) with a curtain call of sorts. He’s been pitching in the minor league system for a couple months now as a reliever and the Hustlers wanted to honor their longtime pitching ace in the event he may retire at the end of the season.
