WHIV 2018.7- Weiss, Jr. returns to the desert
The Las Vegas Hustlers and veteran catcher Maxwell Weiss, Jr. agreed to terms 12/19/17 on a 3 year, $37.5 million contract.
This brings Weiss, Jr. back to the club in which he came up with, having spend 2 1/2 years in the organzation before being dealt to Montreal.
Las Vegas tried to pry him away from the Blazers at the trade deadline, but the price was too steep, so they decided to try again in the offseason and this time succeeded.
Weiss is a career .273 hitter with 156 homeruns. He's an offensive threat added to an already strong lineup, though not the strongest defender. He's essentially the inverse of incumbent Melvin Sims, who moves to a reserve role after a horrendous .599 OPS year in his second year of MBWBA action with Las Vegas.

I had a hunch he might end up returning, since I knew how much you liked him.
