1st Round, 22nd overall: Jeremy Gaze, Starting Pitcher
Gaze, 18 years old, was a top starting pitcher for the General Motors all-star team over the last three years. He features an array of five pitches, and great projected control.
ETA: June 2010

2nd Round, 56th overall: Joe Kern, Starting Pitcher
After drafting a high school pitcher in the first round, the Hustlers went with an advanced college pitcher in the second round. With a six pitch arsenal and velocity of 98-100, there's a fairly good chance that Kern can project to be a closer down the road if he doesn't turn into a top starting pitcher. Either way, he'll probably move quickly as he's already knocking on the door of AA ball.

3rd Round, 82nd overall: Dave Howell, Starting Pitcher
The Hustlers trend of pitching in this draft continues. Like Kern, he's a college starter who probably projects to a reliever in the MBBA. He doesn't throw as hard as Kern but will keep more balls in the park.
ETA: September 2008

4th Round, 106th overall: Deron Ward, Catcher
An extremely raw 18 year old high school star, Ward figures to be a long term development project. Right now, he's projectable as a decent major league backup catcher.
