AVG: .348 (4th)
SLG: .621 (5th)
OPS: 1.025 (5th)
WAR: 7.4 (2nd)
RC/27: 9.78 (5th)
RUNS: 114 (2nd)
HITS: 189 (1st)
TB: 337 (4th)

To say this has been a career year for one Tom Rudge would be an understatement. Since an unspectacular April, Rudge has been simply phenomenal in leading the Las Vegas Hustlers into position to make it back to the playoffs despite their countless issues this year.

Rudge has already set career highs in hits, homers and RBI and seems assured of setting new individual marks for AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+. wRC+ and WAR as well.

So can he really win the Silk award? Sure, El Paso's Hector Cano, Jr. is leading in WAR, but El Paso would surely be able to miss the playoffs just as well without him as with him. Let's be frank, folks: without Tom Rudge having the year that he is having, the Las Vegas Hustlers are nowhere close to a playoff team.

"Whether I win an award or not is of zero importance to me," said Rudge. "If we don't win, I haven't done enough."

One final push these last two weeks could put him in the lead.

Fantastic season for Rudge. It’s Cano Jr by a large margin right now.

ya there is a difference between "leading in WAR" and "shit-kicking the entire field in WAR". Cano is doing the latter.
